Peel Coating

All decorated sheet metal and laminates are always shipped with a protective and removable peel coating. Some of them are colored white, blue or black. Most decorated metal design patterns are covered with a transparent peel coating. Peel coat does not only protect during handling and transport, but especially during fabrication. Therefore the thickness of peel coats should not be less than 0.002" (0.05 mm), with an optimal protection with 0.004" (0.10 mm). Any premature removal of a peel coating may expose the metal to possible damage during fabrication and/or installation.
